Trentham Plate, SUNDAY NOVEMBER 12 2017
Get together a team of four players (two men and two women), from any club or combination of clubs, to play for the Trentham Plate, a teams event with a history going back for more than 40 years. The team with the best aggregate score will win the plate for one year (three scores to count, fourth score to count in the event of a tie). There are also prizes on offer for the best individual Stableford score.
The Trentham Plate is held at one of country Victoria’s most pleasant and beautiful golf courses, listed by Golf Australia magazine as one of Australia’s best value-for-money courses.
The entry price is $60 per team ($15 per individual player).
At 5277 metres for men and 4925 metres for women, Trentham places a premium on accuracy rather than length, and will challenge any golfer while still providing hours of fun and enjoyment.
The course is gently undulating, easy to walk, and is situated in the heart of the Spa country, close to the popular tourist towns of Trentham, Daylesford, Hepburn Springs and Kyneton.
Mazda Victorian Four-Ball Championship
Each year, Trentham Golf Club hosts a qualifying event for the Mazda Victorian Four-Ball Championship.
The Mazda Victorian Four-Ball Championship commenced in 1997 in response to a desire to create more State level events for club golfers, regardless of their geographic location, age or handicap level. The event has grown significantly since attracting 500 pairs in the inaugural year to now annually attracting around 900 competing pairs. In participation terms, the Mazda Victorian Four-Ball Championship is the largest golf event conducted by Golf Victoria and the largest amateur golf event conducted in Victoria.
The Trentham qualifier next year will be held on Sunday February 4th 2018. Entries are handled by Golf Victoria and close 10 days before the event date or when fields are full.
